I’m obsessed with this song.
Also, Chris is one of the best dancers of this generation.
Love, Amanda
nice, i hadn’t seen this yet. little Michael Jackson cameo there, sweet. honestly i think i’d love to see Chris Brown, Usher and Justin Timberlake all dancing together. awesomesuace =)

This is so true.
i know i’ve posted this one recently, but it’s so true <3

just some quick thoughts/notes again… GREAT episode!
On The Rocks - judge pick #3
performed Live Your Life. well done boys, well done. quite entertaining.
Street Corner Symphony - judge pick #2
performed Hey Soul Sister. small rhythm issues but love love loved the arrangement!
Eleventh Hour - voted off
performed Just the Way You Are. rough and a bit messy. flat, sharp, rhythm issues. brave arrangement though. quite good for their age.
Jerry Lawon and Talk of the Town - judge pick #1
performed Mercy. wonderful, just wonderful.
Back Beats - judge pick #3
performed Breakeven. better than last time. really like the male lead. very strong.
Committed - judge pick #1
performed Apologize. musical butta. love love LOVE. so talented. the parts, the arrangement, their voices, the riffs, the dynamics… i could go on… <3
Groove For Thought - judge pick #2
performed Cooler Than Me. goose. bumps. right from the first note. upright bass was awesome. the harmonies, the dynamic, the arrangement. SO tight. loved the breakdown. jazzy jazzy goodness.
Whiffenpoofs - voted off
performed Haven’t Met You Yet. great transitions between leads. key change was great! i still feel like sometimes it’s a lot of noise with not much separation between lead and backing vocals. overall very solid.
the second round had to be rough for the judges… what a decision.

currently on repeat…
just some quick thoughts on each of the groups, in order of performance. warning: i’m openly critical relating to music. i have three favorites already and am REALLY looking forward to Wednesday.
Eleventh Hour - judge pick #2
they performed Bieber. minus points. they slowed down a little bit. the boys are definitely their strong point. lead tries a little too hard. they need better dancing, lol. bass and drums were tight, harmony notes were all hit.
On The Rocks - judge pick #3
performed Bad Romance by Gaga. a LOT of noise was my initial reaction. pretty good dancers. need more organization with the noise… need to be tighter with parts. overall pretty decent.
Groove For Thought - judge pick #4
performed I Wish by Stevie Wonder (bonus points). wow, amazing. SO tight. great bass. LOVED them. hit everything. great great great jazz. *favorite*
Pitch Slapped - voted off
they performed Good Girls Go Bad by Cobra Starship. creative, little sharp. a little bland and forgettable.
Jerry Lawson and Talk of the Town - judge pick #1
performed Save The Last Dance For Me. great bass. very tight. little boring to watch (haha) but musically fantastic. if you had to google Jerry Lawson, tisk tisk tisk. lol.
Whiffenpoofs - judge pick #3
performed Grace Kelly by MIKA. apparently the oldest acapella group…? they were a little pitchy at the start but shaped up. needed better balance between lead and backing vocals. it was a little messy. lead was decent. lack of percussion was interesting, yet probably part of the mess.
Men Of Note - voted off
performed The Longest Time. lead is a bit pitchy. cute guy hitting the high note at the end was a plus. missing full sound, but good.
Street Corner Symphony - judge pick #4
performed Everybody Wants To Rule the World by Tears For Fears (bonus points). very strong lead. very strong for only six people. nice break down! fantastic dynamics. very tight. unison at the end was spot on (and that is quite difficult). *favorite*
Back Beats - judge pick #2
performed Beyonce If I Were A Boy. personal opinion, don’t ever try to perform someone that has an enormous vocal range with an extremely unique voice ingrained in everyone’s minds (ie Whitney Houston). Beyonce, well, she’s one of those people. the lead did well, i just think Beyonce is big shoes to fill. the girls need to put on some bras (seriously). they were dynamic, that’s for sure. decent.
Committed - judge pick #1
performed This Love by Maroon 5. gospel feel. pure awesomeness. very tight, very round. very entertaining to watch. VERY dynamic. VERY well put together. fantastic arrangement. what Ben was waiting for… got that right. *favorite*
over all, i am STOKED this show is back <3
When I’m on stage and I have the opportunity to be in control of something, i want to make the people around me happy. When I play music, it’s not just about me or the people onstage with me, it’s about everybody. – Keith Goodwin
